“I’m struggling to prioritize myself”

Hi,

Not long ago, I started working with a client who came to me saying…

“I know what to eat to feel great and be my best self. But I’m prioritizing everything else instead. I’m using food to cope. As a result, I’m often exhausted, overwhelmed, and running on adrenaline.”

Can you relate?

In one of our sessions together where she was deeply ensnarled in that old-familiar pattern of putting everything else before her own needs, I got up from my chair, crossed the room, and pulled a blank sheet of paper from my printer.

As I sat back down, we both glanced at the blank slate in front of us.

I tapped my favorite purple pen on my chin (are you a die-hard fan of Pentel’s Energel Pens too?), closed my eyes, and tuned into my intuition.

Seconds later, trusting the intuitive guidance I received, I asked her…

“If yourself and your health were your #1 priority, how would you start your day?”

Without hesitation, she started to share that she would wake up naturally. That she’d have time to sit with her coffee. That she’d make conscious choices about what to prioritize for the day.

As she continued to share with me what she saw on the movie screen of her mind, I could feel her energy shift – it was like her entire being got 20 pounds lighter before my eyes.

Once complete, I repeated her vision back to her so we could anchor into it together.

Then I asked, “what do you notice about this vision compared to how you’ve been living?”

“In my vision, I’m at the center, in control, of my experience. I’m in charge,” she replied.

A few weeks later, when we reconnected for our next session, this client gleefully acknowledged that our last session lit a fire in her in the best way. She shared that with each passing day, she was living more in alignment with her vision, and more in integrity with herself.

She shared that things that were once complicated obstacles, transformed into simplified solutions.

What was once hard, became easy

Where she once felt trapped, she now felt free

Now it’s your turn to give this exercise a try.

If yourself and your health were your #1 priority, how would you start your day?

Don’t censor or limit yourself here.

Don’t regurgitate what you think you “should” do.

Instead, tune into yourself

Be honest.

Believe it or not, playing with this simple exercise is a wonderful way to start reclaiming your power when it comes to yourself and your health.

Have fun with it!

In service to your freedom,
