How to Put Yourself First (Without Feeling Guilty)

Bonjour from Paris!

I want to tell you all about my trip but I don’t want to get sidetracked because I sense that this week’s episode of J-ciniTV will really support you!

When it comes to making a commitment to put yourself first, like eating healthier or staying consistent with exercise, it’s common to run into some roadblocks like…

Your partner responding with resentment that you’re going to yoga and he’s left with making dinner…

Your kids becoming clingy, anxious or worried because you won’t be home as much as you once were…

And another woman, maybe even your mom, calling you the S word…

SELFISH.

At even the thought of these uncomfortable possibilities, I’ve witnessed women sacrifice themselves to avoid ruffling anyone else’s feathers.

They put off their own self-care until everyone else is taken care of and the to-do list is all checked off.

Which never ends up working because someone always needs something and the to-do list is always being populated.

I believe that we as women must take care of ourselves first.

Otherwise, we’re running on empty. And giving from depletion is rooted in guilt, anger and resentment. Which is not nourishing for you or anyone else, no matter how much you try to mask it with, “I’m fine. I’ll do it.”

So, in this week’s episode of J-ciniTV, I take you through steps on how to put and keep yourself first without feeling guilty! I give you tips on how to manage any ruffled feathers from your partner, kids or others and show you how everyone benefits when you put yourself first.

I know, it seems counterintuitive, but trust me on this one.

Watch this:

Now go take care of yourself. : )

Thanks for tuning in!

Love, health and laughter,

Jessica
