Hi! It’s been a minute since I shared a few of my favorite things.
Every once in a while, I come across something that brings me so much joy that I just have to share it with the people I love. So, since you are a part of my inner circle 😉 I wanted to share a few things I have been using and loving in my personal life in hopes that it will elevate yours as well!
Here is what I’ve been excited about this season:
A little piece of my sensitive earth-loving soul would cringe every time I’d put a plastic trash bag in the kitchen trash can. A few months ago HoldOn Bags waltzed onto my radar. I was tentative at first, buying just a few as a test. Would they rip? Would we have soggy drippy trash juice all over the place? Would my husband kill me for introducing another eco-friendly swap to our house?
Welp, the results are in, my friend, and they passed ALL the tests. Oh! The joy I experience watching these green bags being tossed into the trash truck each week, knowing it will break down faster than all the others. I never expected myself to get so jazzed about trash…but here we are. 😂
Back in November, Zach’s dad passed away. 💔 It was tragic, very traumatic, and a lot sooner than anyone was expecting or prepared for. Because of the work I do, I knew that Zach, myself, and our family would need support moving through our grief. I wasn’t willing to do it alone.
I knew I needed someone, something, to hold the space for me. And for Zach. I was ready and fully committed to being the student (again) of my own growth and process. #imalearnerforlife
Since then, Zach and I have been working through this difficult time, both individually and collectively, thanks to a recommendation I received from one of my clients (if you are reading this, THANK YOU again. I am so, so grateful.).
When she said to me, “this work was life-changing and so in alignment with the work we do here at Escape From Emotional Eating,” her recommendation rose to the top of my list. While we are still very much in the thick of it, I have been paying it forward and telling everyone I know about this work.
I do feel called to share more about my grief journey since grief is inevitable, and we need to talk more about it. Plus, there are so many parallels and intersections to the work I do with my clients. But I want to make sure I am in tune with myself and do so when ready, so stay tuned.
Until then, I highly recommend this.
I hope you find something fun or inspiring in these resources that support your body, mind, and soul in being of full service to you, your calling, and your purpose. Remember, if you want to thrive in this world, using food to cope will only get in your way.
I’d love to hear what you’re currently loving too… got a new recipe, book, or gizmo that brings joy to your life? I’d love to hear about it! Just hit “reply” and let me know!
In service to your freedom,

Stop questioning whether you do enough or give enough.
Your value and significance are not rooted in what or how much you do.
Today, let “good enough” be sufficient despite your efforts and continual striving for excellence.
Know and trust that you are a beneficial part of this Universe.
In service to your freedom,

P.S. This message was something I shared with my clients on our last Community Support Call. If you’d like to receive more support and guidance just like this from me, click here to apply now. At this time, there are a limited number of program spots available.

You are a woman who strives for excellence, *|FNAME|*.
But your go-go-go mentality and do-do-do grind can quickly become unsustainable and violently unhealthy if you don’t do this 1 thing.
Without this 1 thing, you are at war with your body, pushing her way, way, way beyond her limits.
Without this 1 thing, you are at war with your children because you cannot find enough time to be fully present with them.
“I’m so busy” becomes your standard greeting… even a badge of pride as if exhaustion is your trophy.
So, what is this 1 thing that all women who strive for excellence must do consistently (myself included 🙋🏼♀️)?
It is: slow down to rest.
Learning how to slow down to rest, to truly restore and rejuvenate, is so important to creating your success… especially when it comes to breaking free from addictive patterns like overeating and overworking… that it’s something I teach every single client of mine.
And today, in this video, I’ll be sharing a clip from one of the Escape From Emotional Eating Community Support Calls where I’m specifically talking about exactly that: slow down and rest.

In service to your freedom,

P.S. Busy-ness is an addiction just like overeating, overdrinking, overworking, and over-responsibility.
You know you need help, but there’s this part of you that is kicking, screaming, and doing everything in its power to distract you from taking action and truly changing your behavior.
Which is why I invite you to click here right now to break free from your own inner resistances and take the first step toward your freedom.
The time is now.

*|FNAME|* – it’s time we clear the air when it comes to emotional eating.
Thanks to diet culture and a general lack of true education about what emotional eating really is, we have a lot to untangle.
So, I will be your teacher today!
Buckle up and click the video below – class is officially in session!

Watch now because it will support you in having a clearer understanding of your own personal relationship with food.
In service to your freedom,

P.S. I’d love to hear from you! After you watch today’s class, let me know what your biggest takeaway was in the comments below the video.

Since 2011, as the Founder and Leader of Escape From Emotional Eating, I have been helping high-achieving women get back in touch and stay in touch with themselves, so they can heal their emotional eating, master processing their emotions, and embody their full potential.
As we enter this New Year, my commitment to this mission is stronger than ever.
Since you are a part of my inner circle 😉, know that everything I send, share, and teach is rooted in my core mission: helping you get back in touch and stay in touch with yourself.
Because I believe the most important relationship you’ll ever have in your life is the one you have with yourself.
I believe you are the common denominator in ALL aspects of your life. I believe this is a gift, not a curse.
I believe that your relationship with food and your body is simply a mirror, a symptom, of that inner relationship…the relationship with yourself.
I believe that it’s imperative to learn how to stay connected to yourself, especially when you are seeing and experiencing things that make you uncomfortable.
I believe that the world is getting harder, faster, and more chaotic and that we all must learn how to get better at managing it.
I believe that everything is changeable – no matter how long you have been engaging in an unhealthy pattern.
Finally, I believe you are worthy of so much goodness.
This is my whole body prayer.
The WHY behind all that I do.
And I’m so grateful for our connection and all that you will receive from it in the year ahead.
In full service (and unwavering commitment) to your freedom,

P.S. If your intuition has been whispering, “now is the time” to explore working together, click here right now. That way, we can get something on our calendar to connect and explore possibilities together. ❤️

Merry Chrismahanukwanzakah, *|FNAME|*!
May you treasure this season of peace.
Remember, peace does not exist where there is no noise, chaos, or family dysfunction.
Instead, peace means being in the midst of it all, staying connected to yourself, and being calm in your heart.
In service to your freedom,

Let’s take this opportunity today to let go of what is no longer serving you, to forgive your body, and to come home to yourself.
Click below to let me lead you through 8 peace-filled minutes (a meditation of sorts), so you can forgive, repair, and reconnect with your body… and therefore yourself.

In service to your freedom,

P.S. Do NOT put this off as something to do after the Holidays. Do this now. Come home to yourself right now.
