Every once in a while, I come across something that brings me so much joy that I just have to share it with the people I love. Since you are a part of my inner circle 😉 I wanted to share a few things I have been using and loving in my personal life in hopes that it will elevate yours as well!
Here is what I’ve been excited about this season:

With the Holidays on the horizon, Zach’s birthday coming up, and our 5-year wedding anniversary around the corner, I have been so excited to break out my reusable gift wrap from last year to wrap all my gifts in.
Last year, I scoured the internet looking for a reusable gift wrap option that was chic and seasonal (aka red and green for Christmas, blue and silver for Channukah, more universal colors for Birthdays, etc.), and would help me do my part to eliminate waste.
And I was soooo happy when I found Rapt and even MORE happy at how easy wrapping Christmas presents was last year that I just had to share this with everyone I know!
I purchased the Neutral Family Set, which came in this adorable woven basket (organizing made easy!), and the Holiday Starter Set. Zach and I had more than enough (aka I ordered too much – haha!) to wrap all our Holiday presents for our family members and us.
Last year I purchased my set in November, and they were already mostly sold out. However, looking at their website now, they have a lot more options than last year and are fully stocked as of now, so I would recommend purchasing now so you get what you want!
I also love that this small company is woman-owned, the products are handmade from leftover scraps, and we share an affinity for pom poms.

With the weather turning colder here in Philadelphia, I have ditched the iced coffee and gone back to my tried and true cup of tea to warm my body. In the morning, I will brew a cup of Mighty Leaf’s Green Tea Tropical. I love how it’s not a “grassy” tasting green tea. I literally have been drinking this tea for over a decade.
But what I’ve REALLY been obsessed with is a cup of Rishi’s Lavender Mint Tea in the evening. After dinner, Zach and I will usually curl up on the couch to watch Jeopardy (it’s not really as relaxing as it sounds since we are screaming the answers at the TV the whole time – I am pretty competitive). But after I’ll make myself a cup of this Lavender Mint Tea with a little bit of honey before bed. It always hits the spot!

While I teach a suite of tools specifically designed to support my clients in managing difficult emotions and energy, I personally have recently found myself using an oldie-but-a-goodie tool from Julia Cameron called Morning Pages.
I remember first learning about Morning Pages 12+ years ago when I was in nutrition school and going through lots of turbulence and change in my life at that time. Just getting my thoughts down on the page allowed me to get in touch with my inner voice and heart’s true desires without a filter and without that awkward “what am I supposed to write” when it came to journaling.
When I think back, it was the practice of Morning Pages that had me realize that my issues with food weren’t “normal” and that there was something deeper going on for me.
And here I am again, many years later in another season of turbulence and change, reaching for this “old friend” of Morning Pages to help me through it.
Click here to watch Julia Cameron’s instructions on the simple yet profound process if you’re interested in trying this yourself.
Hope you find something fun or inspiring in these resources that support your body, mind, and soul in being of full service to you, your calling, and your purpose. Remember, if you want to thrive in this world, using food to cope will only get in your way.
I’d love to hear what you’re currently loving too… got a new recipe, book, or gizmo that brings joy to your life? I’d love to hear about it! Just hit “reply” and let me know!

Have you been feeling like, “Ok. It’s September. I gotta get back on the wagon?”
After a summer of eating and drinking too much, September is often a month of restriction under the guise of something healthy, like a “Sober September” or another valiant commitment to doing Whole 30.
But you know that when a few more months go by and life gets even harder and busier, you’ll be reaching for food and wine to take the edge off of your long, stressful days.
Leaving you right back where you started.
That’s because another Sober September isn’t going to get to the roots of why you drink (and eat) to cope, soothe, or connect with others.
And swapping your cookies for carrot sticks for a few weeks isn’t going to fill that hole you feel inside.
Because using food (or wine) to cope, connect, or “have fun” is not an effective strategy. Especially for women like you who need to function at a higher level.
This is why in step #1 of my work with my clients, we focus on building your emotional fitness so allll your bodies (your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies) are well fed.
Well fed in a way that is in alignment with your highest good, where allll your needs are met (especially your emotional needs)!
This isn’t about restriction, denial, or willpower… this is about learning how to cope, connect, and have fun in an even better way.
Because when you do, you won’t need another Sober September to “get back on the wagon,” which will save you a tremendous amount of time, energy, and brain power.
If you’re ready to explore this alternative way, click here to apply now so we can discover if the work I do is a fit for you. Because it’s not for everyone. And that’s ok.

Every once in a while, I come across something that brings me so much joy that I just have to share it with the people I love. Since you are a part of my inner circle, 😉 I wanted to share a few things I have been using and loving in my personal life in hopes that it will elevate yours as well! Here is what I’ve been using and loving this month:
I recently purchased these sweet prep cups from Anthropologie, and I’ve been loving them even more than I expected. I’ve been using them almost daily, filling them with grapes for a mid-day snack or my favorite ice cream. I love how they elevate my eating experience and double as measuring cups making baking and cooking with them super fun!
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
This may be too much information and not for everyone, but hear me out…especially if you menstruate. Many years ago, I gave the Diva Cup a shot and I could never get the hang of it. I’ll spare you the very messy details – it just did not work for me. But when my path crossed with Kim Rosas at Period Nirvana, my world changed. Enter, the Menstrual Disc! Now I personally use the Hello Disc and if commandeering the entire table conversation at a 4th of July BBQ to tell alllll my friends about how my menstrual disc changed my life isn’t sayin’ something…well, then just ask my husband. Because I can guarantee he’s sick of hearing me talk (and even sing!) about it every. single. month! 🤣
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Ever listen to a podcast and feel like it was speaking to your soul? This was it for me. There were so many mind-blowing heart-touching shares like the acronym for shame, details of Mayim’s struggle with emotional eating, and complicated parent-adult child relationships. If the words enmeshment, individuating, or coping mechanisms are something you are working on in your personal life (like I am in mine), I highly recommend a listen.

Back when I was untangling all the wires I had crossed in my relationship with food, one of my biggest blind spots was how many times I would eat something…when in truth, I wasn’t hungry at all.
I was just tired. 🤯
I see my high-achieving clients who are so good at the go-go-go, do-do-do, busy-busy-busy – they have this blind spot, and their wires crossed around this too!
They’ll resist rest by lunging for the caffeine (or wine or those dark chocolate-covered almonds from Trader Joe’s) to give them a “bump” to keep going… when what they are truly “hungry” for is a break.
If this is speaking to you, I highly recommend watching this 4 min video clip from the Summer ESCAPE, where my clients and I had a deep conversation about uncrossing the wires they have when it comes to hunger vs. rest.
And if you’re thinking, “I don’t resist rest. That’s not me.” I highly, highly recommend you watch this clip.
Because it’s usually the people who avoid hearing this who need to hear it the most.

In service to your freedom,
P.S. If someone comes to mind who you sense could benefit from hearing this, forward this email to them pronto!

One thing you should know about me is that everything I do has a deep heart-guided intention behind it.
From every thought that I share with you in these emails, to every element that is a part of my unique Escape From Emotional Eating Programs, to how I structure my schedule, so I am of the greatest service and support to each and every client… I am constantly and consistently evaluating what I do and why I do it.
Sometimes, I’ll even share my intentions – especially when it comes to programming and unique systems I’ve created in our work together – with my clients. Just like I did here on the first day of this Summer ESCAPE.
Since many of my clients (and even my team!) mentioned how powerful and supportive it was to hear this, I wanted to share it with you too.
In this clip, you’ll see just how deep my intentions for my work with my clients go and why things (especially within my programs) are so different and designed with so much intention.
And if you’d like to learn more about how my approach is different than everything you’ve tried in the past and to discover which level of support is a fit for you, click here and apply now. That way we can set up some time to connect and explore your best next steps.
