I have to be honest. In the past three weeks, it really hit me that life isn’t getting any easier. Instead, the Universe is constantly showing us that we really need to get better, and even better, at managing it.
Especially for those of us who feel deeply and are called to navigate this overwhelming world with consciousness, alignment, and as healthy as humanly possible, like you and me.
Even though I no longer use food or alcohol to soothe, numb, or escape…
I vividly remember those years when food was my reward at the end of a long, stressful day.
I remember when I thought I needed food and alcohol to cope or connect with others.
I remember believing that numbing myself was the only way to survive in this overwhelming world.
But here are a few truths I learned from my journey so far as I move to my next level…
Food truth #1:
Using food to process or avoid your feelings is not an effective strategy. Especially for women like you who need to function at a higher level.
This is why in step #1 of my work with my clients, we focus on building your emotional fitness. This is where you’ll learn effective tools, like Digesting Emotions®, so you can process and swim through the tsunami of emotions and intense energies rather than numb or avoid them.
In fact, here is what one of my clients said about Digesting Emotions:
“Your Digesting Emotions Process carried me from crazy grief to normalcy within minutes.” – C.S.
Food Truth #2:
Using food in an attempt to meet your emotional needs will only continue to starve your emotional body.
This is why in step #2 of my work with my clients, we start untangling your physical hunger from your emotional hunger. So not only will you hone the skill of eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are full… but you will also learn the language of your emotional body.
This is so you can finally know what it is that you are truly hungry for and finally fulfill your unmet emotional needs.
Food Truth #3:
Overeating is a sign of a deeper issue, one that has almost nothing to do with food and almost everything to do with your mother.
Yep, your mother.
In order to truly be free, we have important healing work to do. This is why in my work with my clients, I am now leading a specific transformational series called Mothers, Daughters, and Food™.
This is so we can heal the generational roots of dis-ease and dysfunction when it comes to your relationship with food and your feminine body. And so you don’t unconsciously pass any of it on to your children.
All of this is why I created Escape From Emotional Eating. Because there is so much to heal, so much to untangle when it comes to food.
If you want to thrive in this world, using food to cope will only get in the way, so click here right now, and let’s level up together.
In service to your freedom,

I’ll never forget the birthday where I ate a whole half dozen dairy-free, gluten-free double chocolate cupcakes all by myself.
I had just opened a few presents.
My friends and family had just said goodbye after spending the day with me.
I was supposed to be happy.
But I wasn’t.
Instead, I was standing alone in my kitchen, shoving cupcakes in my mouth, telling myself, “It’s my birthday. I can do whatever the F— I want.”
That was 10 years ago (since today IS my birthday 🥰), and a lot has changed for me since then.
Celebrations – especially my birthday – no longer revolve around food. Because, for me, food no longer has an emotional charge behind it. It’s no longer entangled with my highs or my lows.
From healing my relationship with food, I’ve discovered what is truly fun, nourishing, and fulfilling for me vs. what is “supposed” to be fun but not really fun for me at all.
Instead of spending one of my favorite times of the year feeling bloated, heavy, and spiraling in self-loathing… I spend it feeling grounded, grateful, peaceful, present, and a little silly too.
When it comes to birthday cake or cupcakes, now I can easily take them or leave them.
Because the emptiness that drove me to stuff myself with cupcakes 10 years ago is no longer there.
And that’s been one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received in this life.

I’ve been speaking to a number of women recently who have been asking me, “Is freedom from emotional eating really possible for me?”
They’ll go on to tell me how they’ve spent years in therapy, learned intuitive eating, but still struggle…especially when life gets tough.
They’ll tell me how they work in the health and wellness field – a doctor, nurse, therapist, personal trainer, nutritionist, etc. – how they know A LOT when it comes to what they should be eating… but they struggle to be consistent.
They’ll tell me how they don’t have 100’s of pounds to lose, but their emotional eating is holding them back from operating at a higher level and therefore reaching higher levels of success in their personal and professional life.
Then they’ll ask me… Is freedom from emotional eating really possible for me?
Or is emotional eating something I’m just going to have to learn to live with?
Now I have to ask you, is this something you have been wrestling with too?
If so, I’ve got two pieces of good news for you:
Good News For You Part 1 💖
This choice point is a very important part of your healing journey.
I vividly remember wrestling with that same question…“is freedom from emotional eating really possible for me? Or is this my cross to bear?”
At that point, I had already binged ate my way through nutrition school. I had already spent 900+ hours in therapy. And I was still feeling out of control with food.
But I also vividly remember there was something inside of me…like a deep knowing…
That I was not put on this planet with this issue of emotional eating without a solution, there just had to be a way.
I didn’t want my emotional eating to get worse as I got older and life got harder.
That I hadn’t come this far only to come this far, there was more work for me to do in order to truly break free. There just had to be a way!
It was at that moment, even though I had no idea how I would find freedom from emotional eating, I made a strong choice for myself: I will break free from this.
Settling was NOT an option.
Ultimately, it was this choice to believe that freedom and peace in my relationship with food and in my relationship with myself were possible that led me to now being 6+ years free from emotional eating and helping other high-achieving women do the same.
Good News Part 2 💖
The choice is yours.
You get to choose: settle or choose to change.

I’m still buzzing from leading the Winter ESCAPE with my clients last weekend. Our theme was “Your Body: A Reclamation” and as one of my clients said, “we did just that!”
Even though you weren’t able to join us this time, you won’t totally miss out.
This is a 6-minute clip that many of my clients said resonated deeply and shifted something within them. So I wanted to share a little bit of that with you too!

In service to your freedom,

The patriarchal organization of our society demands that women ignore and turn away from their needs, hopes, and desires – deferring to men and the demands of their families.
Instead of learning how to pay attention to the genius of your intuition and your inner guidance, you’ve internalized the belief that you are not worthy enough, smart enough, or good-looking enough to live a life of freedom, joy, and fulfillment.
Living in a world that lacks the acknowledgment and valuation of your needs, many women turn to addictions such as overeating, overworking, over-responsibility, and alcohol to numb their pain.
Note: Anything can be used addictively, whether a substance (like food or alcohol) or a process (like work or childcare).
This is because the purpose or function of an addiction is to put a buffer between yourself and your feelings – and your feelings are key to accessing your inner guidance!
Your overeating or overworking serves to numb you, so you are out of touch with what you know and what you feel.
The more out of touch you are with what you know and feel, the more deeply rooted and toxic the patriarchy becomes and the more unhealthy and unhappy you become.
In my work at Escape From Emotional Eating, my clients are liberated from this cycle. They learn the language of their body and discover what they are truly hungry for.
Being back in touch with their unmet needs, they stop numbing and start nourishing.
This brings their mind, body, and soul back into alignment, where they are following their heart, their intuition, and their deepest knowings.
Through our work together, emotional eating becomes extinct (and so do many other forms of numbing or buffering pain – like overworking, over-responsibility and drinking).
From there, they step fully into a life of freedom, joy, and fulfillment…a life where they are healthy and nourished. And so is their world.
Now, it’s time for your liberation.

Sometimes when you can see a pattern playing out in another area of your life, it’s easier to spot when it comes to your relationship with food. That’s my intention in sharing this with you.
My hope is that you’ll be able to see something that you weren’t able to see before and to use that in support of your healing and transformation!
A few important notes about this clip:
- There are 4 Coping Strategies that play out in the emotional eating cycle. This is based on my research and personal experience. The teachings around this, as with a lot of the things I do, are unique to Escape From Emotional Eating. In this clip, you’ll hear me mention and start to explain 2 of them: Soothing, Denial, and Resignation.
- This clip is from a 3-part Masterclass Series that I gift to my clients in my Advanced Level Program called, Embody Your Full Potential. Which is an invitation-only program for women who have reached a certain level of the extinction process with emotional eating where we work together at a higher level.
- This is just a clip, just a taste, and there is a LOT more when it comes to truly experiencing integrity and alignment when it comes to your relationship with anything, especially food. If you’re ready for more, click here to apply for support now.
