Escape From Emotional Eating Is About Becoming Whole

May 1, 2023
Jessica Procini | Escape From Emotional Eating

Escape From Emotional Eating is not about stopping something. At the core, it’s not even really about ending your overeating.

It’s about beginning a particular way of life.

A way of life that’s about integrity, ensuring your inner and outer selves are integrated and indivisible.

Meaning your insides match your outsides. And your outsides match your insides.

It is about being one WHOLE self.

When you divide yourself, keeping parts of yourself hidden, that creates brokenness.

When you adjust yourself to please people, that creates brokenness.

Escape From Emotional Eating is about becoming whole. And WHOLE = HEALTHY

It’s about no longer adjusting yourself to please the world.

Instead, it’s about having the courage to be yourself wherever you are and let the world adjust to you.

That’s what Escape From Emotional Eating is truly about.

In service to your freedom,

The Escape From Emotional Eating Process

April 24, 2023
Jessica Procini | Escape From Emotional Eating

“But what do you actually DO with your clients?” is a question I frequently get asked because Escape From Emotional Eating is different than any other support out there

They’ll elaborate by saying, “Do you teach them meditation? Or mindful eating?…”

At this point, people will try to put my work in a conventional box that already exists…

When my work doesn’t fit into any box… because it’s in a world of its own!

Like I said, the work I do is different. It’s what’s needed to truly experience peace and freedom

The best way to explain what I actually do with my clients is to give you an idea of the beginning phases of our work together… the literal steps we take together and what you’ll learn… which I explain more in-depth in this video. ⤵️

But what do you actually do with your clients? | Escape From Emotional Eating

This video reviews the first 4 steps of the unique Escape From Emotional Eating Process, but there is more to it. You can find the full 8 steps on my website (newly updated!) right here.

Break the exhausting binge eating cycle

April 17, 2023
Jessica Procini | Escape From Emotional Eating

You’re a woman who strives for excellence in all that you do.

You get things done.

You tell yourself “should” be happy.

People think you have it all together.

But no one knows that at the end of your long, stressful day…you eat.

You eat to numb, to cope, to attempt to ground yourself in your overwhelming world.

No one knows how much you worry… that you’re so tired your body aches… that you feel lonely even when you’re surrounded by people.

No one knows how unfulfilled you really feel.

If you’re really honest…

You yearn to reconnect with yourself.

You want to break the exhausting binge/restrict cycle so you can put your energy towards something — anything — other than worrying about food or your body.

You want to feel secure in your skin… to embody confidence… to feel like you have value regardless of how you look or how old you are.

And most of all, above all else, you want to be free.

If any line of this email spoke to your heart, I invite you to click here right now and submit your application so we can connect.

Bring your willingness. I’ll show you the way and let’s explore what freedom and true fulfillment looks like for you.

Every once in a while, I come across something that brings me so much joy that I just have to share it with the people I love. So, since you are a part of my inner circle 😉 I wanted to share a few things I have been using and loving in my personal life in hopes that it will elevate yours as well!

Here is what I’ve been excited about this season:

Back in January, I returned to Adult Ballet Classes after a 3-year break due to the pandemic. And I’m SO happy to be back dancing again.

The adult ballet community has changed SO much, for the better, DUE to the pandemic like more class options, more people in class = more new adult ballet friends, and so much more inclusivity (something the ballet world has desperately needed).

If you’re someone who has danced on and off throughout your life OR have been looking into going to a ballet class, but haven’t mustered the courage to go… consider this your sign.

GO!

You might just find a new kind of hobby, or community, your body loves!

Or, even better, maybe we’ll be in class together! (If so, PLEASE come say hi! ❤️)

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Last week, I was meandering through the aisles of Mom’s Market and ended up purchasing these dark chocolate-covered rice cakes. They were on sale (winning!) and from the package, they checked all my boxes. I thought, “how bad can these be?”

Now I’m wishing I bought more than 1 bag! They ARE good and with relatively clean ingredients – that’s a win-win in my book!

They’re great for when you need a little hit of dark chocolate but would like the experience to last more than 2 milliseconds.

If you try them, let me know how you like them!

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Times are a’changing… can you feel it? Recently I’ve felt life is returning to that old-familiar pre-pandemic frenetic turbo speed, with bloated to-do lists and super squishy calendars. And I’ve had to recreate and re-negotiate my schedule and routine to make sure that with the changes in my lifestyle, I’m still honoring the natural hunger rhythm of my body.

Because it can be SO easy to get caught in that old-familiar trap of “forgetting” to eat because you’re so busy.

With that, Zach and I have really been leaning into the “cook once, eat multiple times if possible” principle.

I went through my saved recipes (hot tip: I like to save recipes I come across that check my boxes to my “reading list” in Safari. So when I’m looking for something new, I just pull up my list – such a time saver!) and pulled out this gem

I made it (note: you must know that I HATE cooking, so I tend to stick to super-simple things if I am going to make anything) with the intention of it being a great satiating but-not-too-heavy meal to have on nights I have ballet or other engagements.

And it’s been a win!

I used rice instead of orzo to make it gluten-free. And used curly kale instead of spinach.

I froze individual portions in ball jars, so freezing, thawing, and reheating was a snap.

Highly recommend!

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

OK! I hope you find something fun or inspiring in these resources that support your body, mind, and soul in being of full service to you, your calling, and your purpose. Remember, if you want to thrive in this world, using food to cope will only get in your way.

I’d love to hear what you’re currently loving too… got a new recipe, book, or gizmo that brings joy to your life? I’d love to hear about it! Just hit “reply” and let me know!

Is sharing your experience with food difficult?

March 27, 2023
Jessica Procini | Escape From Emotional Eating

If I had a nickel for every time someone had said to me, “you are the last person I’d suspect would have issues with food,”… well, I’d have a LOT of nickels. 😂

But in all seriousness, as a woman who strives for excellence, on the outside, you look like you have it all together all the time… but on the inside, it’s a totally different story.

This can make sharing your experience with others, especially people who just don’t get it, difficult… even debilitating.

Let’s change this together!

Listen to this 3-minute clip from a recent podcast interview where I share *very* honestly about how I jumped these same hurdles and trusted my gut no matter what anyone said

My intuition has become my ultimate superpower

March 13, 2023
Jessica Procini | Escape From Emotional Eating

Last week in honor of my birthday and being a contributing author to my mentor’s book DIFFERENT, I asked you to guess which of these Top 3 Highly Sensitive Strengths you think is my tippy top #1 strongest inner strength

A. I am very intuitive.
B. I am highly aware of subtleties in my environment and of other people’s needs.
C. I am visionary and able to imagine possibilities.

Thank you so much for playing along with me! It was so fun to receive your guesses.

As I shared last week, I possess ALL of these strengths (as does every person who is Highly Sensitive – we are literally born with these strengths. But learning how to use them effectively is a whole other kit and caboodle. More on that later in this email).

But there is one strength that has always been front and center for me, all 37 years I’ve been on this planet.

And the answer is…

I AM VERY INTUITIVE 🥳✨

I can confidently say that because I have healed my emotional eating and, therefore, no longer drowning or denying my feelings, senses, and intuitive messages, my intuition has become razor sharp

And because I have been deeply committed to training my Highly Sensitive Nervous System to work FOR me, rather than against me, my intuition has become my ultimate superpower.

One simple example of its major part in my work is when I receive someone’s Discovery Session Application

While my human body is physically reading the valuable information they share with me… my intuitive body reads “beyond the words.”

I make notes of what’s coming through my review, and if I have a sense there’s more for us to explore, we’ll get something on the calendar to connect for that further discovery.

In our Discovery Process together, my intuition is (once again!) front and center.

I do not use a script or have specific questions I check off. No.

Instead, I literally fully and completely surrender to my intuition.

To this day, this is why Escape From Emotional Eating Discovery Sessions are so unique compared to other coaching support out there. And it’s what makes them so transformative for all those who experience them.

I love them too – because what reveals itself is always above and beyond what our human minds can see.

What’s also really been interesting is that even after we complete our zoom connection, my intuition is usually STILL sharing insights and inklings about our conversation, which I’ll capture and share with the person when applicable and appropriate.

In typing this out and sharing it with you, I realize that I don’t think I’ve ever shared the intricacies of how I use my intuition in this way ever before.

I also realize this is not how most people do business – haha!

In the past, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable sharing such intricate details of my process… but having done this work for almost 12 years and really honing how I use my intuition to support me and my work for 9 of those years… I’ve had so many clients tell me things like, “You’re able to see things for me that I can’t see for myself” and “This is why I love working with you.”

There are SO many more ways I use my intuition in my business and my personal life too. What I shared here is just one example.

My intuition is my ever-present, ever-constant, guiding light and inner compass.

It’s something that comes so naturally to me and I feel SO grateful that I get to use it in the way that I do in my work with my clients… because it makes everything feel so fun and magical. ✨

Does that mean everything is always rainbows and butterflies over here?

Absolutely not. I am human. And I do have moments of resisting it too.

But what I’ve found is that as my intuition has grown into that constant compass… even in the darkest, hardest, down-on-my-knees moments in business AND life…it is the golden thread of my intuition that guides me.

Having shared my personal experience here, I have to ask you:

(1) Where in your life are you meant to listen, honor, and trust your intuition even more

(go with whatever answer comes to you 😊)

(2) As a woman who strives for excellence, how would your HEALTH change (physically, mentally, and emotionally) by allowing your intuition to be honored and followed even more?

Think about it.

In service to your freedom,

P.S. In my last email, I mentioned that the first person to guess my strength correctly will WIN a free copy of the e-book DIFFERENT! 🎁 🦋

Well, it turns out I pulled a few strings (because you are part of my inner circle), and Heather has granted my special request that ALL who submitted a guess will WIN a free copy of the e-book DIFFERENT! YAY! CONGRATS! 🎉

What is my Highly Sensitive Strength?

March 6, 2023
Jessica Procini | Escape From Emotional Eating

Hi! Guess what!? My birthday is tomorrow (I’ll be 37 – woohoo!), so I thought it would be fun to play a little game together! 🎉🎁

Since you’re a part of my inner circle, I share more openly with you than I do on social media… and you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been talking more and more about how I am a Highly Sensitive Person and how that impacts how I take care of myself and move throughout this overwhelming world.

And if you’ve been here for a little while, you may remember that my mentor of NINE YEARS invited me to be a contributing author to her book DIFFERENT. 🎉

In the section I wrote, I share more about my personal experience learning and leading as a Highly Sensitive (look for it on page 111!) ✨

And since I love to play and have fun no matter how old I am, I thought it would be fun for you to have a chance to win a prize – my gift to you! 🎁 – by guessing which of these Highly Sensitive Strengths is my #1.

Even if we’re just getting to know each other, I invite you to reply back to this email with your guess!

Come on, let’s play! ⤵️

From these Top 3 Highly Sensitive Strengths, which do you think is my tippy top #1 strongest inner strength

A. I am very intuitive.

B. I am highly aware of subtleties in my environment and of other people’s needs.

C. I am visionary and able to imagine possibilities.

HINT: Know that I do possess ALL of these strengths, as does every person who is Highly Sensitive. 😄 But there is one strength that has ALWAYS been front and center for me, all through the 37 years I’ve been on this planet. Before I knew and accepted that I was Highly Sensitive, I often accessed it without even knowing I was doing it!

And as I continue to train my Highly Sensitive Nervous System to work for me, it continues to get even more supercharged! ⚡️🚀⚡️

Reply back and take your guess!

And the first person to guess correctly will WIN a free copy of the e-book DIFFERENT! 🎁 🦋

Woohoo!

Thanks for playing!

In service to your freedom (and having fun together),

P.S. Keep your eye on your inbox over the next few days for the answer and to find out if you’re our winner! 🎁 💖

Heal your relationship with food

February 27, 2023
Jessica Procini | Escape From Emotional Eating

Once I got over the shock that I was indeed an emotional eater…

– even though I didn’t have 100’s of pounds to lose.

– even though I already knew SO much about nutrition and fitness thanks to my Integrative Nutrition and Holistic Health certification.

– even though I had spent over 936 hours in therapy which never touched the core of my relationship with food or my body.

I searched high and low for support to help me heal my relationship with food.

I knew I couldn’t work with just anyone or do just any kind of program because… well, I was different. I knew I needed to find support that was aligned and right for me.

So I searched…
And searched.
And searched.

I became frustrated that the scarce options I found were very misaligned with me…

– I knew I needed something to help me, teach me, guide me to the roots of my chaotic compulsive relationship with food… I knew the surface approach of general health coaching, to just eat healthier and exercise more, wasn’t enough… because I was already doing that.

– I knew my issues weren’t severe enough for something extreme like an eating disorder clinic.

– I knew Overeaters Anonymous was not the place for me. I knew I wanted real change where I could truly break free from my cyclical chaotic patterns with food and my body.

I realized that my options weren’t just scarce… they were non-existent.

WTF.

Then, something wild happened. I remember this moment clear as day (even though it was so long ago dinosaurs basically roamed the earth).

I remember it because what happened next changed everything

I was at a fork in the road (no pun intended).

I saw that I had Option 1: “F**K IT.” To give up, to resign… to throw up my hands, internalize the limiting belief that my emotional eating was just something I had to live with… just another thing to push down, to swallow… another cross for me to bear…

OR

Option 2: Refuse to settle.

Then, I saw my future play out on the movie screen of my mind. Two distinct clips of what my life would be like if I chose Option 1 or Option 2.

In the mental clip of Option 1: The Path Of Resignation, I saw myself getting older, my life getting harder, and my relationship with food getting exponentially worse. I saw myself living in hell.

Then, a mental clip of Option 2 popped into my head. While this vision wasn’t totally clear, I felt light and bright. I could sense hope and possibility…even if I couldn’t make out all the details.

I could feel deep in my gut that there just had to be a way…and it was in that moment I made a choice that changed everything.

I was NOT going to settle. I was going to find a way…

I was going to find a way to truly be free from my emotional eating

To have the peace, freedom, and joy in my body, mind, and soul I had longed for.

What I didn’t realize then, that I now know, is that I wasn’t just going to find a way. I was going to create it.

And then help others find freedom too.

This is how I ended up here – free from my own emotional eating and, since 2011, helping women who strive for excellence to heal the roots of their emotional eating so they can embody their full potential.

My sense is, that you and I have a lot in common.

You are someone who strives for excellence, just like me.

You don’t fit the typical stereotype of an emotional eater, and you know that the conventional support offered to the masses isn’t going to help you truly put an end to your self-destructive patterns with food.

And you’ve been secretly juggling your own choice point – to give up and continue to secretly carry the burden of your unhealthy relationship with food.

OR, refuse to settle.

This is your choice point, your fork in the road.

If your gut has been guiding you to connect one-on-one with me… just to see what the next steps look like, then I invite you to click here right now so we can do just that.

Click here now and let me hold your hand because what happens next will change everything.

In service to your freedom,

P.S. And if you’re thinking, “Eh, I should just be able to just figure this out on my own,” – As your coach and someone who has literally been in your shoes, I don’t recommend it.

Your chaotic relationship with food and your body is, at the core, a fight between you and yourself. If you truly want to stop this war and have peace, you’ll need someone outside of yourself to step in and cease-fire. Not a friend or family member. An expert, like me. So click now so we can get this ball rolling.

P.P.S. I know you are a woman who strives for excellence. You wait until you are so bruised, beaten down, and even barely breathing until you let yourself receive help. As your coach, I’m loving reminding you that it doesn’t have to be that way. It’s time to release your shame and achiever mentality and simply take the next step to apply right here. Right now.

P.P.P.S. My team and I made a pretty picture to illustrate where Escape From Emotional Eating is compared to the rest of the industry. Enjoy! 😍
